about wholistic psychiatrist

Dr. Lisa Llanas

There is no one truth, but there is your truth, and it begins with your experience.

In my 20 years as a psychiatrist, a mother, and a survivor of breast cancer, I have learned that medicine comes in many forms.

Yes, it comes in the form of effective prescriptions.

It also comes in the form of nutrition, self-care, and mindful living.

But above all, it comes in the form of emotional safety, in feeling deeply seen and held, no matter what we bring to the table.

Your experience matters. In fact, it is an essential guide towards your recovery. I am here to listen and hold it all, especially that which has felt too heavy, too shameful, or too insignificant. These are the breadcrumbs that will guide us back to who you truly are.

Dr. Lisa Llanas Biography

Dr. Lisa Llanas is a wholistic psychiatrist who explores mental health in a multi-dimensional way, addressing the causes - not just the symptoms - of one’s condition. Integrating medical expertise with mind-body practices, she guides her patient's towards whole-person, long-term wellbeing.

Her unique approach to psychiatry is built upon a foundation of exceptional training at Harvard Medical School and years of experience in Ivy League affiliated psychiatric hospitals.

Some of her proudest moments include when patients have told her “I feel more like myself”, and when families feel fully supported in helping their children through difficult diagnoses or transitions.

Dr. Llanas is also a secret singer, writer with a small ‘w’, lover of horses, and the sea salty, sandy pine smell of Cape Cod.
